Gentle Cleanings
Dental caries (tooth decay) is caused by acid-producing bacteria that collect around the teeth and gingivae (gums) in a sticky, clear film called “plaque.” Regular dental examinations and cleanings are important for keeping teeth healthy.

Root Canals
In the past, injured or diseased teeth frequently had to be removed. Today, they often can be saved through endodontic treatment, also known as a root canal treatment. More than one office visit usually is required.

Periodontal Care
Many adults develop some type of periodontal, or gum disease—an infection of the sittsues that support their teeth. During an examination, your gums are evaluated for periodontal disease by checking the color and firmness of the gums.

Cosmetic Crowns & Bridges
A crown can make your tooth stronger and improve its appearance. A crown is a good way to cover teeth that are discolored or badly shaped. It's also used to cover a dental implant.

Cosmetic Bonding/Veneers
Many patients are discovering the benefits of dental veneers. Unlike a crown, which covers the entire tooth, a veneer is a thin covering that is placed over the front (visible) part of the tooth. Ashford Dental applies veneers in a simple, comfortable procedure that takes just a few visits.

Composite Fillings
Advances in modern dental materials and techniques increasingly offer new ways to create more pleasing, natural looking smiles. White fillings, also called composite fillings, are made from tooth-colored materials that restore the natural appearance of a decayed or previously filled tooth.

Implant Services
Dental implants are metal posts that are surgically placed in the bone under your gums. During a healing period, the bone grows around the implant. Then a replacement tooth, or crown, is attached to the metal post, giving you a restoration that is a lot like your natural tooth.
